Treat keloid

Keloid treatment depends on the location and discomfort associated with the keloid. For virtually all kinds of keloids, the surgery is not recommended, the recurrence or aggravation are very often. Repeated cryotherapy; Injection of a corticosteroid (caution in children or adolescents, may atrophy or striae peri-lesional); Wear cotton and quality clothing, dressing; Kneading massage for a few minutes a day; Flexible plates maintained 24/24 by silicone adhesive;

In conclusion, it is important to be informed, as a patient, of the risk that represents a Keloidal Scar surgery. It is highly unpredictable, despite the technical quality of the surgical gesture. There are some keloid home treatments that are known to make a difference. Salt water somethimes cures better than the mere physical serum. Salt water from the sea is a very good keloid remedy or Keloid treatment... Then comes a whole range of creams, antibiotics, antiseptics, etc ... who can work, but not for everyone ... For this, consult your doctor to clarify what you can actually use and will not affect you in other negative ways.

Laser treatment for vascular birthmarks

Many people are born with vascular birthmarks. These birthmarks are made up of clusters of blood vessels near the surface of the skin and may be pink, red or purple in colour. Many birthmarks shrink and disappear on their own with time but some, including port wine stains, persist and may thicken and darken over time.

Laser therapy can be used to treat many vascular birthmarks, including port wine stains and strawberry birthmarks. The treatment works by targeting intense light energy onto your skin so that it destroys the red pigmentation. Following laser treatment, your skin will feel hot, rather like mild sunburn, and you may experience some bruising in the area. You'll need to use sunblock for two to three months after your treatment to protect your skin.

Usually you'll need a course of laser treatments for the best effect. Laser therapy may not completely get rid of your vascular birthmark, but it will usually make it significantly paler and less noticeable. When you receive laser treatment at Spire you will have the procedure performed by an experienced specialist in the safe and comfortable surroundings of a private hospital.

Chemical peels

Chemical skin peels help to create a younger, fresher look by improving the texture of your skin. They can help to reduce the signs of ageing, treat scars and blemishes and create healthier, firmer looking skin without the need for surgery. A facial peel could help if you have any of the following: fine lines or wrinkles, acne or acne scars, sunspots or freckles, uneven or greasy skin. The aim is to rejuvenate the face giving you smoother, softer, blemish free skin.

Chemical peels remove the top layer or layers of skin using a chemical preparation. As the new skin grows back, it is normally smoother than before and imperfections are reduced. There are various types of chemical peel - superficial, medium and deep. They achieve different results depending on your needs and recovery times vary.Superficial chemical peels are easy to apply and the time needed for healing is minimal, but they won't achieve long lasting or dramatic results. Superficial peels aim to smooth and brighten the skin. They are suitable for those who don’t have time to recover from a deeper peel or don’t want any visible peeling. Medium chemical peels can achieve more noticeable and long lasting results for surface blemishes, fine lines and facial scarring, such as acne scarring. A deep peel will help reduce more severe facial wrinkles, and is often used around the mouth and eyes. One deep peel may be enough to achieve the desired result, while a course of superficial peels may be needed to achieve the desired results.

Chemical peels  take between 30 minutes and an hour, and you will be able to return home straight away. Depending on the type of peel you have, your will begin to peel two to three days after the procedure, and the new smoother skin will emerge.

Scar revision

When damaged skin responds in three phases; inflammation, rebuilding and remodeling. Immune system responds immediately to fight infection. The body produces inflammation to fight infection. Inflammation causes increased local blood flow so that a large number of white blood cells can be brought to the damaged area to fight infection. During the reconstruction phase, the skin began to repair the damage to help heal the wound so it can close. Collagen fibers produced during the repair process. Finally, the remodeling phase, the more collagen fibers are produced and organized to increase the strength of skin.

Often times, the immune system overreacts with more white blood cells and collagen than necessary, causing excessive scarring of red, raised and not attractive. A visible scar differs from normal skin because the fiber is regulated differently than normal skin. Scarring can be worse in certain races, certain regions, certain age (young) or if placed on the lines of skin tension.

A keloid is the overgrowth of scar tissue at the site of skin wounds. Appointed a new network, round, and firm, with irregular and claw-like margins. Keloids occur most commonly in pigmented people and tend to be getting worse. A hypertrophic scar is to heal wounds larger than normal size as a result of aggressive lay down collagen, found in larger cells than normal skin, resulting in raised, smooth, the results of hyperpigmentation. There are several options available for those who want to approve their appearance scar plastic surgery, non surgical treatments include:

Vitamin E: Some surgeons recommend that patients rub vitamin E oil on the incision site once they have been closed. Silicone sheet: the best known products to reduce redness and flatten scars is silicone-based products. Silicone sheets are products you can buy at your surgeon's office or you may be referred to the hospital. Silicone Gel: You can also buy the product in the form of silicone gel, such as Dermatix C Gel. Gel has similar properties as silicon sheets, but dried in a thin layer acts as an extra layer of skin.

If the scar does not respond to treatment over the other there are several procedures plastic surgeons may offer. A scar revision can be done, in which surgeons basically cut away the old scar and restitches cuts. Cortisone injections or laser treatments may also be available. Your plastic surgeon will be able to recommend appropriate actions for you to take.

Thread vein treatment

Thread veins are very fine veins that are often visible on the cheeks, nose and legs. They are very common, and can be red, blue or purple in colour. If you have thread veins that you are very conscious of, and would like clearer skin, there are a number of options available to treat them.

Laser treatment is often used to treat thread veins on the face. The veins absorb the laser light and are destroyed. Sclerotherapy is usually used to treat thread veins on the body and legs. The veins are injected with a chemical using a very fine needle. This chemical makes the walls of the veins stick together and gradually disperse. Other treatments include high-intensity light treatment, and Veinwave™, a treatment that uses a fine heated needle. These treatments can be very effective, but as it takes time for the veins to break down, it may be a few weeks before the results are fully apparent. A course of treatment may be recommended to achieve the best results.

When you receive thread vein treatment at Spire you will have the procedure performed by an experienced specialist in the safe and comfortable surroundings of a private hospital. As with any cosmetic procedure, it is important that you review your expectations thoroughly before you decide to proceed. Your specialist will explain the results you can expect, and will discuss the associated risks and alternatives to the procedure before going ahead.

Double laser

Keloid scar scar is the kind that have appeared on the surface lifts the skin. Keloid scar usually has pink or purple, and disability. Keloid scars usually become worse over time and location of injury Beyond. This type of scar tissue can cause the piercing, wound treatment consisted of two lasers. The first shoots into small blocks of less than one millimeter into the scar tissue, heating to the boiling point and evaporate it. The second laser equitable and balanced out the texture and color of the remaining scar tissue.

The full benefits of the treatment will take six months to be seen. Emotionally, just knowing there are treatments that can change our appearance to heal burns. Chest, shoulders and back is very prone to keloid scars. Most doctors recommend that you receive a monthly injection of cortisone into the scar site. After six months, keloid scars and should flatten appears less visible on the skin surface. In some cases, Fluorouracil Chemotherapy drugs are injected with cortisone or by itself to remove keloid scars. Consider cryotherapy If a small scar. Your doctor may recommend cryotherapy If you are fair and the scars are not too large. Cryotherapy involves placing liquid nitrogen in the scars to splinter it off.

Went surgery with the doctor of your choice. Injections and cryotherapy If not successful, surgical excision or laser surgery can be considered. Surgical excision involves cutting the scar. However, this could prove risky for keloid scars can then establish another. Laser therapy involves the use of concentrated light to rid keloid scars. Some sessions may be needed to reduce pigmentation of scars and flatten it down.

Internal Scar Tissue

Internal scar tissue is scar tissue in the body. You may also hear the internal scar tissue called adhesions only internal or adhesion. Injury is the body's response to injury. When the body was wounded, he tried to fix the injury site as soon as possible. With minor injuries, the body can restore to a previous state network. More generally, the network is replaced with a lower barrier of scar tissue that can not fully replace the lost tissue.

In the body, internal scar tissue forms as a result of trauma. Surgery is a common cause of adhesions, and they also can result from a heart attack, which causes scarring of the heart muscle, along with severe injuries such as torn muscles and joints. Inflammatory disease can also cause internal scarring.

Adhesion is a bond between the two things that previously did not join. For example, an adhesion can cause organs to stick to the wall of the abdominal cavity, or may cause blockage in the intestines. Adhesions often very painful, because they restrict freedom of movement of the organ or organs involved. Adhesions caused by pelvic inflammatory disease, for example, can cause reproductive organs play, causing severe pain and fertility problems.

Get Rid of Scar Using Home Remedies

Scarring is a natural part of this repair and healing process, and almost all the wounds leave scars. In the process of repair, the body does not always create the normal tissue, but fibrous or scar tissue. The extent of scar tissue depends on a number of factors - of course this includes the severity of injury, and the location of the injury, the presence of infection, and the way in which the wound healed. However, all the scars fade with time; very severe scars, of course, will never disappear, but a small scar usually disappear completely within a few years.

For those of you who are rarely out of the house, there are many therapy can be done in the house. There are several solutions to remove the scar as using substances such as aloe vera gel, honey and vitamin E, but this does not apply to a larger wound. But there are many medical treatments available today and some of them showed very good results. Surgical options include laser surgery and traditional surgery or laser resurfacing. Other options include steroids or corticosteroid injections, and collagen injections, which is provided directly on the scar. However, steroids are always a risk of side effects, and the effects of collagen injections would not survive. Newer treatments include some that use silicone and silicone gel sheets, but the effectiveness of this treatment is not fully clear.

Questions About Scar Revision Surgery

What some factors that determine our success in surgery to hide or remove the scars. Communication and trust between you and your surgeon is very important for success. Thorough consultation is very important to both parties an understanding of the procedures and results.

There is no way to remove scars completely. The aim is to improve the appearance with scar camouflage, move, or minimize outstanding. Different types of scars respond to plastic surgery technique is different. When surgery is another important option. Some doctors recommend revision of the scar in cases of injury for a period which may extend to one year after the injury. This interval allows the body enough time to recover completely.

Different scars require different treatments. For example, burns that destroy large sections of skin cause the skin to heal in a puckered way. As the skin heals, muscles and tendons may be affected in a "contracting" movement. Keloid scars are a result of the overproduction of skin collagen after the wound has healed. These injuries usually occur as the growth in the scar site. Hypertrophic scars, unlike keloids, do not grow out of the confines of the scar area, but because of thick, raised texture, can be unsightly and may also restrict the natural movement of muscles and tendons.

Because the scar is very individualistic and patient attitude so personal injuries, the maximum improvement in facial scars may require more than one procedure, and more than one technique can be used. When the scar contracture is of the type, surgery generally involves removing the scar completely. Skin flaps, composed of adjacent healthy, unscarred skin, and then lifted and moved to form a new incision line. If a cover that is not possible, a skin graft can be used. A transplant to take part of the skin tissue from one area and attached to others, and time must be allowed following the operation of new blood vessels and soft tissue form. Z-plasty is a method to remove scar tissue from one place to another, usually into a natural fold or crease in the skin to minimize visiblity. While Z-plasty does not remove all signs of a scar, it makes less visible.

Dermabrasion and laser resurfacing is a surgical method to make "rough or elevated" scars less prominent, by removing part of the top layer of skin by abrading tool or laser. Clearly, the scar will remain, but it will be more subtle and less visible. Or keloid scars hypertropic infections are often treated first with steroids to reduce the size. If this is not satisfactory, the scars can be removed surgically. And the incisions are closed with fine stitches, often result in injuries less prominent.

About the scar revision procedure

Treatments such as laser therapy and micro-dermabrasion can be used to remove the top layer of skin. Surgery can also be an option depending on the type and severity of your scars. Scar treatment does not guarantee the complete removal of the scar, but aims to make less clear. Although even so, skin type or age and the type of scar tissue affects how much improvement you can expect.

When you receive treatment scar revision on top you will have the procedure performed by experienced specialists in a safe and comfortable environment of a private hospital. As with any cosmetic procedure, it is important that you hope to check carefully before you decide to proceed. Specialist will explain the results you can expect and will discuss the risks and alternatives associated with the procedure before going to the front.

The recovery period like?

Dermabrasion may take 7-14 days to heal. The healing process depends on the healing response will individu.Kulit new red that usually disappear in about two months.
Laser Vascular discoloration and swelling will disappear within 5 to 10 days, and the scar is more neutral color.
Laser Resurfacing of recovery depends on the depth of resurfacing and the individual capacity to heal. Redness can last for several weeks, or longer.
Surgical incisions may take several weeks or months to heal. Sometimes using a bandage should be worn to a year.

Risks and Limitations

After surgery, complications may be experienced although probably rare. Among some of the risk of complications were swelling, infection, incidence of scarring. All incisions leave scars. Most scars heal well, but in rare cases the scar remains thick and heavy.

All risk scar revision scar worse than the original scar.
Collagen injections are not safe for patients with rheumatic disease. Patients should be tested to ensure that they are not allergic to collagen.
Dermabrasion has the most common risk is a change in skin pigment. Infection and scarring are also possible but rarely happens.
Vascular Laser There may be a bit hot in the areas treated, which should heal within a few days. There is little risk of depigmentation (skin brightening) with this procedure.
Laser Skin Resurfacing semi-permanent or permanent skin can alleviate the areas treated. Alternatively, the skin can become hyperpigmented (darker) immediately after surgery.
The heat from the laser can cause burns or injury. To reduce the risk of this procedure, carefully follow all your surgeon's instructions both before and after surgery.

Dermabasion

Dermabrasion is a resurfacing technique that has been perfected. When the patient's skin dermabrasion process would be frozen or regions other scars. Doctors then remove the scarred skin to repair and rejuvenate the skin contour as a new layer of skin replaces damaged. These results are quite remarkable and durable.

When dermabrasion was first developed, it is used primarily to improve acne scars, pox marks and scars. However, today is also used to treat other skin conditions, such as pigmentation, wrinkles, sun damage, tattoos and some types of skin lesions. But no effective dermabrasion is applied to skin defects, birth marks and scars from burns.

After doing dermabrasion, for a few days your skin feels as if burned. Pain killer drugs are allowed at a time like this. Healing usually occurs within 7 to 10 days. The newly formed skin, pink at first, gradually returning to normal appearance. In most cases, most of the pink has faded by eight to 12 weeks.

Injections

In the case of protruding scars such as keloids or hypertrophic, your doctor may elect to use steroid injections. He or she may use this as a stand-alone treatment, or in conjuction with other treatments.

Other types of injects, such as collagen injections or other "fillers", may be useful for some types of pitted scarring although these are not usually permanent solutions.

Expected thing after surgery

The results of collagen injections directly affect the visible scars smooth and flat. However, this type of treatment is only temporary in nature, the periodic maintenance required to maintain the results. After dermabrasion procedure, the treated area can be protected with salep.Otot-moving facial muscles and may not be comfortable. Oral pain medications can be taken to reduce discomfort. In some cases, antibiotics may be taken to prevent the possibility of infection. The skin is usually swollen around one to two days after treatment. During this time, a scab begins to form in the treated area.

Areas that use laser treatment usually change color purple, which will fade within five to ten days. Generally after this period scars less red and raised. If you are using a Laser Skin Resurfacing may experience some swelling and discomfort. Cold packs are usually recommended to reduce swelling.

If the bandage is used after surgery, the bandages will be applied for one week and then the ointment will be applied. Some surgeons use a moisture barrier tape bandage the treated area. If the treated area is not bandaged, you will need to wash the area several times each day. After washing, you will need to apply ointment to the treated area. You need to be careful in treating the treated area. Scabs may form and last for approximately 10 days. If you experience any discomfort you can use painkillers.

After the revision surgery usually you will experience discomfort in these parts. Some swelling, bruising and redness are generally unavoidable. Any stitches will be taken within a few days after surgery, but your skin needs more time to heal. In general, the surgeon advised to limit activities, especially activities that can cause excessive stress on the incision area.

Keloid scars have the tendency to return. And injections of steroids may cause mild pain, such as by injection. This procedure may be repeated after a few years. Z-plasty and related techniques is the closure of the treated area will be closed with fine stitches will be taken within one week after treatment. Like the others, this treatment can cause a little swelling or bruising.

Scar psychology

Most people have scars on their bodies. However, living with the scar makes more of a problem to them. Not only those who have scars, but also families and friends affected. For some people the scar is considered to be an art and even caused deliberately.

Often times people like this character is described as facial scarring, which highlights the fact that our society does not just want the scars as desirable, but also perpetuate the myth that those wounds tend to be less than pleasant for others. If we feel that people react differently to us because we have a scar, it can cause embarrassment and lack confidence. Some people also end up feeling angry and isolated due to a scar. If you or someone you know is having problems with scar tissue so do not despair.

Trying to scar therapy available also did not increase the hope, in fact there is no treatment that will remove all scars. This may take many years to accept the scars but it will help you accept your situation if you try to think positive. Talking with someone who has a scar, your doctor or arrange some counseling sessions. This can help you to accept the scars and does not mean that you will be referred to a psychiatrist. Remember that it can be very normal to feel sad about the scar.

Repair Scars

Conspicuous scars due to scar tissue made of collagen cells rather than skin cells out of ordinary. As a result, scars usually have different colors and do not have sweat glands or hair follicles. The severity of the scar depends on many factors, including the size and depth of the wound, the blood supply to the area, and the thickness and color.

Scar treatment often depends on the type of scar and can be treated with microdermabrasion, laser, or long-term topical application. Elimination of the scar is usually not possible. Even if the surgery, the transfer procedure will leave scars.

For scars that occur in natural folds of the skin, revised to match scars with the natural lines helps to reduce the appearance.

Scar tissue teraphy

Scar tissue therapy is a way to break up scar tissue, stretch the muscles and accelerate healing. Procedures like this, especially in the beginning is very painful. To avoid inflammation of the muscle, as ice therapy should be applied during the session.

Acupuncture massage helps release the energy flow and improve circulation in the damaged muscle during the session. To avoid the formation of scar tissue, is recommended for treatment of scar tissue every time after work.

Scar tissue

Scar tissue is dead tissue that is formed from fibrotic especially in the muscles, tendons, ligaments, fascia and joints. Scar Tissue occur as a result of injury or surgery. When muscles, tendons, or ligaments are torn (strained or sprained) or nerve is damaged, healing occurs in three stages, namely acute inflammation, repair, and renovation. In acute inflammation, redness, swelling, heat and pain occur. This phase lasted about 3 days. After the inflammation subsided, the improvement began with the healing of damaged tissue with adhesions or scar tissue formation and the formation of new tissue.

When the muscles tightened through repetitive movements such as typing or after swelling occurs, it limits the supply of oxygen to the muscles and tissues (hypoxia). Lack of oxygen also causes scar tissue to form. Scar tissue that follow the muscle fibers, preventing them to shift back and forth properly. And this can cause carpal tunnel syndrome, chronic back pain or another.

Scar tissue binds many layers of muscle and connective tissue, it causes varying degrees of pain. Research has proven scar tissue becomes weaker, less elastic, more vulnerable to injury and 1000 times more pain than healthy tissue. Chronic pain is a result of the pain that remained for years after the initial injury.

The Skin Repair Process

The skin is designed to heal wounds quickly to prevent blood loss or infection. In normal skin healing, wounded skin rapidly closed and then closed the area slowly to eliminate injuries.

In children the remodeling scar is usually quickly removed from the injured skin area. But as adults, is very different because of the small scars may remain for years. One way to accelerate remodeling is to encourage a small number of skin damage with a needle, laser, acid or any other way, and then let the body repair processes rebuild.

Another method is to use enzymes and fibroblast proliferators to improve the process of building back better. Fibroblasts are cells in the skin basement membrane and they were pioneers of all the structural elements of healthy skin, including those providing tensile strength and elasticity of the skin. Enzymes dissolve or digest the damaged skin and dead cells.
