There are many different causes of scarring, such as accidents, surgery, skin diseases, burns, acne and infections. But not all scars are the same and here is some kind of scar that occurs.
Keloid Scars (Red or Dark and Raised)
Such as hypertrophic scars, keloids are the result of an imbalance in the production of collagen in healing wounds. Unlike hypertrophic scars, keloids grow beyond the original wound. They can continue to grow without limits. They may itch or pain and may not improve the appearance from time to time.
Anyone can get a keloid scar and they can occur anywhere on the body. However, youth and people with darker skin are more prone to scar tissue types and they are more common in certain parts of the body such as ears, chest, shoulders and back. As with hypertrophic scarring, people who have developed one keloid scar tends vulnerable to this condition in the future.
Flat, (Pale Scars)
This is the most common type and the scars from the body's natural healing process. At first, they may be red or dark and raised after the wounds have healed but will become pale and flat naturally from time to time, until in a flat or a flat scar. This process may take up to two years and will always be visible scar.
Stretch Marks
Stretch marks occur when skin pulled quickly, for example during pregnancy or adolescent growth spurt. Initially, stretch marks appear but a pale red for several years.
Hypertrophic Scars (Red or Dark and Raised)
When the normal wound healing the body produces new collagen fibers at a level that balances the old collagen solution. Hypertrophic scar is red and thick and may be itchy or painful. They do not exceed the original injury, but may continue to thicken up to 6 months. They usually improve over one to two years. These types of scars can also cause trouble because it affects the appearance or the intensity of high itching, also restrict the movement if they are located close together. Type of scar is more common in young people and people with darker skin.
Concave Scars
Sunken scar is hidden into the skin. They may have skin attached to the deeper structures (such as muscle) or the loss of underlying fat. They usually result from injury.
Acne & Chicken Pox Scars
Common causes are sunken acne scars or chicken pox that can produce the appearance complain. However, it is important to note that acne scars do not always sunken in appearance and can even be a keloid.
Stretched Scars
Stretching injury occurs when the skin around the wound healing placed under tension during the healing process. Such types may follow injury or surgery. Initially the scar may appear normal, but can expand and thin for several weeks or months.
